Lt Bray, the Unit Commanding Officer, said: "The band, which was re-formed in 2007, entered the Area Competition 'Novice Class' for the first time last year, coming second. The decision was made to enter competition class by the two staff who run the band - Sgt Tracy Bray and Petty Officer Matt Roberts. They persuaded me to give the go-ahead for the entry following a string of compliments received from event organizers across the area who had seen the band perform.
