Winning this competition was an outstanding achievement both for the cadets and the staff involved - one that the borough should also be rightly proud of, as these young people are truly ambassadors for the town whenever and wherever they perform.  The band will now go on to represent Southern Area at the National Band Competition at Plymouth Hoe in August.  There was another surprise on the day, when Leading Cadet Ben Fraser took the bronze medal for best Drum Major.
